SHAZAMChek® Card is an electronic check card that replaces check writing and doubles as an ATM card. It allows you to access funds from your checking account wherever you see the Visa symbol.
How does a SHAZAMChek® Card work?
To use it for cash, you insert the card into the ATM and enter your PIN when instructed.
When using it in place of a check, you simply hand the merchant your card. You sign a receipt for your purchase and keep a copy – just as you would if you were making a credit card purchase.
The purchase amount is automatically deducted from your checking account. Record these transactions in your check register, just as you would a check. Your account balance is entered into the system by 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday to ensure that your money is available when you need it.

Simply present your SHAZAMChek® Card to the merchant, sign the receipt and go. It saves time when you are in a hurry, because you don’t have to write a check and you don’t have to wait for a check approval.
Is the SHAZAMChek@ Card a Credit Card?
NO! With a credit card you are actually borrowing money, which you must repay, either all at once or in the form of extended payments. With the SHAZAMChek® card you are accessing funds you already have in your checking account. That means you will pay no interest or finance charges as long as there is enough money in your account.
Can I still use my CornerStone State Bank checks?
Absolutely! Your SHAZAMChek® Card is to be used in addition to your ComerStone State Bank (CSSB) checks, giving you more flexibility. Whenever you would rather write out a check, go right ahead. There will always be some transactions where a check is the easiest way to make a payment. But you’ll probably find that your SHAZAMChek® Card will be more convenient for most retail purchases – no more writing checks in check-out lines, or running out of cash.
Will I continue to get a monthly statement?
Yes! Your CSSB monthly checking account statement will show all your card transactions. It will provide a complete record of all your transactions for the month for your SHAZAMChek® Card.
