To prepare for your appointment with a mortgage lender, here are a few things to bring:
- One full month’s recent pay stubs with year-to-date earnings (if self-employed 2 years’ tax returns)
- The two most recent yearend W-2’s
- Your two most recent bank statements
- Your residence history for the last two years
- Loan and/or credit card information, including name, address and account numbers of creditors
- Gift Letters if additional monies are needed for closing
- Construction contacts, plans and specs if a construction is planned
- Divorce decrees, stipulations, child support if applicable
- Letter of explanation for adverse credit reports
- Letter of explanation for gap in employment
- Purchase agreement
- Real Estate Tax Statement on property
- Insurance policy if available
